Laurel Aitken fue uno de los grandes dentro de la escena jamaicana y en Inglaterra. Apodado The Godfather of Ska ayudo a multitud de bandas para que se hicieran un hueco en la música. Lamentablemente en 2005 murió de un ataque al corazón.
